The 2011 dog park season will be extended for the first two weeks of January 2012 for the new application process. If you need an application, you can obtain one by visiting our Firehouse Dogs section of the website or by calling the fire station at 412-464-7321.

23rd Annual Munhall Light-Up Night will be on Friday December 2 at 6:15 pm. The location will be at the municipal building.

On October 22, 2011, we arrived in Knoxville, TN to pick up our new replacement vehicle for squad 2. It is a used 1988 Ford E-350 Type III ambulance. Check back over the next few weeks for updates and pictures.

First responders at Munhall Volunteer Fire Company, Station 200 & 203, each received an animal rescue oxygen kit through a donation from Invisible Fence of Western Pennsylvania.

Dispatched for a structure fire on West Virginia Avenue around 7:30am. Crews made a fast knock down on the fire and no injuries were reported. Great job by all involved.

On August 5, 1995 we lost our brother firefighter William "Spence" Marks while responding to a fire call. Also injured that night were six other firefighters that suffered injuries during that tragic night. We ask that you never forget Bill and what he did for our community, and thank all the firefighters who proudly serve and protect.

Residents are asked to turn on a outside light from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and spend the evening showing that Munhall residents stand together against crime.

Dispatched for a confirmed structure fire on 11th avenue. Crews arrived on scene and found heavy smoke & fire from the rear of the building. Multiple mutual aid companies were call in to assist. Great job by all involved!

Dispatched for a possible structure fire on 14th avenue. Upon arrival, crews found a brush fire with extension into the roof. Responding units 200, 201 & 204.

Dispatched for a confirmed structure fire on West James Street. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the basement. Responding units 200, 201, 202, 203, 204, 292 & 294.

Over a year and a half ago, Munhall V.F.C. # 1 was awarded steel from one of the World Trade Center buildings from ground zero. After getting all paperwork finalized, on March 24, 2011 Munhall V.F.C. # 1 headed up to N.Y.C. to make the pick up. Click here for more pictures.

Back in November, the the Home Sprinkler Coalition had a contest. The first 100 Fire Companies to respond to their email would win free Flip video Recorder. We made it in the first 100. Check out their website for more information on home sprinkler systems.

A check in the amount of $1,022.28 was presented to Tim Short from the MDA. The monies raised were from a joint effort made by Munhall V.F.C. # 1 & 3.
